Meta Launches Hyper Nova. Revolutionary smart glasses coming soon!

Meta is preparing to launch its new Hypernova smart glasses next month, the company's first glasses with a built-in display. While initial pricing plans called for a price between $1,000 and $1,400, new reports say that Meta may drop the price to around $800, lower than expected and closer to the price of phones like the upcoming iPhone 17. This drop is due to Meta's willingness to accept lower profit margins to attract users, although options for prescription lenses or customized designs may raise the final price.

The glasses will serve as a precursor to full-fledged AR glasses, as they are expected to feature a small screen for apps and alerts on the right lens, with control via a neural wrist accessory, as well as support for apps to take photos, view maps, and receive notifications from WhatsApp and Messenger. The glasses will likely run a customized Android operating system, but without a separate app store.

If the Meta Hyper Nova glasses were priced closer to the iPhone, would you buy them as a new experience or as an unnecessary luxury?
