Apple is preparing to release new tools that give businesses greater control over how their employees use AI on enterprise devices. With the iOS 26 update, organizations will be able to configure an enterprise version of ChatGPT with expanded privacy settings, higher usage limits, corporate data integration, and the ability to allow or restrict any third-party AI provider.
This control allows companies to determine whether employee requests are sent to the ChatGPT cloud, even without an enterprise agreement with OpenAI. It also opens the way for the integration of AI technologies from Google, Microsoft, and Anthropic, giving organizations greater freedom to choose the tools that best suit their needs.
