NotebookLM upgraded with voice AI
Google has launched a comprehensive update to NotebookLM to enhance the voice interaction experience with AI, with additions aimed at improving productivity, analysis accuracy, and customization of voice interaction.
New modes
The update includes three innovative modes. Summary mode provides a quick summary of comments in about two minutes, Critique mode allows content to be analyzed in the style of a professional editor, and Debate mode allows opposing viewpoints to test ideas. These modes aim to improve the user's understanding of the content and provide accurate, multi-dimensional assessments.
Improved voice control
New male and female voices have been added to give users more control over the AI character while speaking. This allows for a more realistic and personalized interaction experience, enhancing usability and giving each user a unique experience tailored to their needs.
Stax - Model Evaluation Tools for Developers
Traditional Stax has been replaced by a more flexible method, where teams can use customizable, automated evaluators to check fluidity, language quality, realism and credibility, as well as safety and compliance with industry standards. The platform provides real-time analytics dashboards to accelerate comparison and iteration, enabling developers to understand how models behave under pressure and improve their performance quickly and efficiently.
Google and Chrome - Adhering to the court ruling
As part of the recent court ruling, Chrome was not dismantled, but Google was obliged to share search data with competitors and give up exclusive deals such as the Safari agreement. Despite this limitation of dominance, the company's core business was not affected, which reflected positively on its shares, which rose by 7%, confirming the company's ability to adapt to the legal requirements without affecting its financial performance.
