The Gimkit platform operates on a freemium model, offering a basic free plan as well as individual and institutional paid plans that provide advanced features, detailed statistics, and additional game modes. The free Gimkit Basic plan allows you to create games (Kits) and host live sessions with students, with access to a limited number of free game modes (“Featured Modes”) and no limit on the number of participating students; however, full access to all Pro modes is only available with a paid subscription. Paid plans include Gimkit Pro, available on a monthly subscription for $14.99 or an annual subscription for $59.88, which unlocks all advanced game modes, allows you to add images and audio to questions, creating assignments for students to complete outside of live sessions, and accessing detailed analytics and reports, with a discount available for annual subscriptions. For educational institutions, Gimkit Groups offers plans such as the Department Plan at $650 per year to serve up to 20 teachers, and the School Plan at $1,000 per year to cover all teachers, with centralized administration enabling access to Pro features for all educators. All content created by teachers, such as Kits and Assignments, is preserved when upgrading or reverting to the free plan, while the Pro plan provides continuous access to all advanced gameplay modes.
